Problems of Democracy: Center on Organizational Innovation's 25th Anniversary Event

  • The Forum Room 315 (map)

We are excited to announce the 25th anniversary celebration of the Center on Organizational Innovation (COI) at Columbia University, marking a quarter-century of groundbreaking research on new forms of collaboration, communication, and coordination afforded by emerging interactive technologies. In that time, we have been an intellectual home for more than 60 PhD students and hosted more than 50 Visiting Scholars from all parts of the globe.

Democracy has been a persistent theme at the COI. From the fall of the Berlin Wall and the subsequent transformation of Eastern Europe to the emergence of digital technologies at the turn of the 21st century, COI researchers have investigated the changing forms of democratic engagement, learning, and resistance.

Join us in celebrating this legacy of innovation and democratic exploration with a panel followed by wine and cheese.
